VPK
We offer Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Education Program at our school. This program is offered free for all children preparing for kindergarten the following school year. Our exclusive curriculum helps our students soar beyond ABC’s and 123’s into active critical thinking. Children gain comprehension through interactive learning activities , exploring ‘how’ and ‘why,’ and developing life-long learning advantages. Your child will benefit from our innovative curriculum learning from dozens of topics including reading, writing, astronomy, mathematics, earth science, biology, art, world travel, weather, wildlife, public speaking, drama, social skills and character development.The purpose of the VPK year is to give your child a soft start in a school-like environment where he or she can get used to the structure of a traditional classroom. In fact, research has shown that students who receive this early preparation, will later score higher on tests and have better social and behavioral skills.

The aftercare program at Delores M. Smith Academy provides a safe and nurturing environment for children after school hours. Our program offers a variety of enriching activities, including homework assistance, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and group games. Our dedicated staff ensures that each child receives individual attention and support. We strive to create a fun and engaging atmosphere where children can socialize, learn, and grow.

School Pick Up and Drop-Off:
For families whose schedules prevent them from picking their child up from school, we provide pickup and drop-off services to and from . Please note that we do not offer pickup or drop off services from children's homes. Our priority is to maintain a secure and efficient transportation system between our center and the school to ensure the well-being of all children in our care. Your child will be cared for by well trained and licensed drivers, operating safe and reliable vehicles. we can arrange supervised quiet time where they can complete homework, required light reading or other assignments, with support and assistance from our staff.
Our programs are open to children attending local elementary schools.
